Without key players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding win that virtually guarantees them a spot in the Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further three points in their next fixture against Finland's KuPS ought to be enough to secure direct entry to the knockout stages, particularly following a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Opportunity
This match offered a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a well-taken finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, finding the net for the second game in match.

Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring his very first touch, but saw his shot blocked.
The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also missed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his senior debut, capping an otherwise perfect night for the visiting side.
